A Warning Given

wolf and the seven little goats

Once upon a time, in a cozy little hut in the heart of the forest, lived a caring and smart goat with her seven little goats. Before leaving to find food, she warned her kids never to open the door to strangers, especially the cunning wolf who roamed the forest. The little goats nodded, understanding the importance of their mother's words. They promised to stay safe and keep the door closed.

Not long after the mother goat left, there was a knock at the door. A rough voice demanded entry, claiming to be their mother. But the little goats were not fooled; they knew their mother's voice was gentle and kind. They refused to open the door, and the wolf, frustrated by his failure, left to concoct a new plan.

The wolf, determined to deceive the little goats, visited a blacksmith and got a new throat to make his voice thin and gentle. Returning to the hut, he knocked again, this time with a soft voice. Fooled by the wolf's disguise, the little goats opened the door. The wolf burst in, causing chaos and fear. He chased the goats around the hut, and one by one, they were caught.

However, the smallest goat hid away in a clock and was not found by the wolf. When the mother goat returned and discovered what had happened, she was heartbroken but quickly sprang into action with the help of the smallest goat. They tracked down the wolf to a pit with a fire. As the mother goat cleverly tricked the wolf into jumping over the fire, he fell and burst open, freeing the other little goats unharmed. Together, they returned home, safe and sound.
