The Visit to Granny's House
The Secret Helper in Your Mind
One sunny afternoon, Holly went to visit her Granny. Holly loved spending time with Granny because she always had fun stories to tell. Granny greeted Holly with a warm hug and a plate of cookies. Holly and Granny sat in the cozy living room. Holly asked Granny if she could tell her a new story. Granny smiled and said, 'Of course, my dear.' Little did Holly know, this story would be different from all the others.

Granny began to tell Holly about a magical place. 'Think of your mind as a big castle,' Granny said. Holly's eyes widened with excitement. 'There are many rooms in this castle,' Granny continued. 'Some rooms are where you do your thinking and playing.' Holly imagined a castle filled with colorful rooms. 'This part of your mind is called your conscious mind,' Granny explained. Holly was curious to learn more.
2
'Your conscious mind is what you use when you are awake and thinking about things,' Granny said. Holly thought about all the times she solved puzzles and played with her toys. 'That's my conscious mind working!' Holly exclaimed. Granny nodded with a smile. 'But there's another part of your mind that's just as important,' Granny added. Holly leaned in closer, eager to hear more. 'This part works quietly in the background,' Granny said mysteriously.
3
'This part of your mind is called the subconscious,' Granny explained. Holly listened carefully. 'It's like a magical room where all your dreams, memories, and feelings are stored.' Holly imagined a room filled with sparkly dreams and colorful memories. 'Your subconscious helps you remember how to ride a bike and tie your shoes,' Granny said. Holly thought about how she never forgot those things. 'It even helps you feel happy or calm,' Granny added. Holly was amazed by how powerful her mind was.
4
'Your subconscious listens to everything you think and feel,' Granny said. Holly was surprised. 'Even if you don’t say it out loud?' she asked. 'Yes, even then,' Granny confirmed. 'If you think happy thoughts and believe in good things, your subconscious helps make those things happen.' Holly thought about all the happy things she could think of. 'Just like happy thoughts bring good things, sad or angry thoughts can bring not-so-good things,' Granny warned. Holly realized how important it was to think positive thoughts.
5
'If you keep thinking, “I can’t do this,” or “This is too hard,” you might feel upset and not try your best,' Granny explained. Holly remembered times when she felt like giving up. 'But if you believe in yourself and think, “I can do this,” you’ll feel more confident,' Granny said. Holly nodded, understanding the lesson. 'Your subconscious will help you achieve your goals,' Granny assured her. Holly felt a new sense of determination. 'I will think positive thoughts from now on,' Holly decided.
6
The next day, Holly decided to put Granny's advice into practice. She woke up and thought, 'Today is going to be a great day!' At breakfast, she told herself, 'I can finish my homework quickly and have fun playing.' Holly noticed that she felt happier and more energetic. Even when she faced a difficult math problem, she thought, 'I can solve this.' And she did! Holly realized that positive thinking really worked. She couldn't wait to tell Granny about her day.

Holly ran to Granny's house with excitement. 'Granny, it worked!' Holly exclaimed. Granny smiled, happy to see Holly so joyful. 'Tell me all about it,' Granny said. Holly shared how her positive thoughts helped her throughout the day. 'I'm so proud of you, Holly,' Granny said. 'Remember, your subconscious is always there to help you.' Holly felt grateful for Granny's wisdom. She promised to keep thinking positive thoughts.

Holly decided to share Granny's story with her friends. She told them about the magical castle in their minds. Her friends were fascinated by the idea of the subconscious. 'Let's all try to think positive thoughts,' Holly suggested. They agreed and started encouraging each other. Holly was happy to see her friends feeling more confident and cheerful. She realized that spreading positivity made everyone’s day better. Holly felt like a little helper, just like Granny.

One day, Holly faced a big challenge at school. She had to give a presentation in front of the class. Holly felt nervous, but then she remembered Granny's story. 'I can do this,' she thought to herself. Holly took a deep breath and started her presentation. She spoke clearly and confidently. When she finished, her classmates clapped and her teacher praised her. Holly felt proud of herself. She knew her positive thinking helped her succeed.

Granny had a special gift for Holly. 'This is for you, my dear,' Granny said, handing Holly a small box. Inside was a beautiful necklace with a tiny key charm. 'This key is to remind you of the magical castle in your mind,' Granny explained. Holly loved the necklace and wore it every day. It reminded her to think positive thoughts and believe in herself. Holly felt grateful for Granny's love and wisdom. She knew she would always carry Granny's lessons in her heart.

Holly and Granny spent the rest of the day playing and laughing. Holly felt happy and confident, knowing she had a special helper in her mind. 'Remember, my dear, your subconscious is always there for you,' Granny said. Holly nodded and gave Granny a big hug. 'Thank you, Granny,' Holly said. 'Now, let's ask the readers a question,' Granny suggested. 'What positive thoughts will you think today?' Holly asked. The end.
