The Garden Lesson

Lina and The Seed Courage

One sunny day, Lina was helping her father plant seeds in their garden. She asked, "Papa, why don’t we plant anything near the dark forest?" Her father smiled and said, "The forest may seem scary, Lina, but fear is like darkness—it feels big, but it shrinks when you face it." Lina frowned and wondered, "But what if it doesn’t? What if something bad happens?" Her father held up a small seed and explained, "Courage is like this seed. It starts small but grows every time you face your fears."

That evening, Lina thought about her father’s words. She held the small seed he gave her and imagined it growing into a big tree. "Maybe courage can grow too," she thought. Lina decided she wanted to be brave like the seed. She placed the seed on her bedside table as a reminder.

The next morning, Lina stood at the edge of the forest. She clutched her lucky stone tightly in her hand. Her heart raced, but she remembered her father's words. "One step at a time," she whispered to herself. With a deep breath, Lina took her first step into the forest.

The tall trees cast long shadows, and strange sounds filled the air. Lina felt a little scared, but she kept moving forward. She noticed wildflowers growing along the path. Sunlight peeked through the branches, making the forest look magical. Lina realized the forest wasn’t as scary as she thought.

As Lina walked deeper, she found a small stream with sparkling water. She saw colorful birds singing in the trees. Lina felt a sense of wonder and excitement. She picked a few wildflowers to take back home. Each step made her feel braver and happier.

Suddenly, Lina heard a rustling sound nearby. She turned and saw a little squirrel watching her curiously. Lina smiled and waved at the squirrel. The squirrel chirped and scurried up a tree, making Lina giggle. She realized she wasn’t alone in the forest.

After exploring, Lina decided it was time to head back home. She felt proud of herself for being brave. The forest didn’t seem dark anymore; it felt like a place full of life and beauty. Lina knew she would return again. She couldn’t wait to tell her father about her adventure.
7
Back at home, Lina ran to her father and shared her story. Her father listened with a smile, proud of her courage. "You see, Lina," he said, "you’ve planted a seed of courage in your heart." Lina nodded, feeling stronger and braver than ever. She knew that just like the seed, her courage would keep growing.
