Arrival at the Beach House
Lea and the Mermaid Princess
Lea arrived at her grandparents' beach house feeling both excited and a bit scared. She loved visiting them, but the vast, open water made her nervous. Her grandparents greeted her with warm hugs. 'This summer will be special,' they promised, sparking curiosity in Lea's heart.

That night, Grandpa told Lea a story about a mermaid princess who lived in the sea near their house. She was known for her kindness and for helping those who were afraid of the water. Lea listened, her eyes wide with wonder, imagining the mermaid princess.

The next day, while playing on the shore, Lea saw something sparkling in the water. Curious, she edged closer and gasped. A friendly face emerged, smiling at her. It was the mermaid princess from Grandpa's story!

The mermaid introduced herself as Marina. 'Would you like to learn how to swim and explore the sea with me?' she asked. Lea hesitated, her fear of water creeping in. But Marina's gentle gaze reassured her, and she nodded, eager to overcome her fear.

With Marina's guidance, Lea began to learn. At first, she struggled, splashing and coughing, but she didn't give up. Gradually, she started to enjoy the water, feeling more confident with each stroke. 'You're doing great,' Marina encouraged, smiling.

Lea's first journey under the sea was magical. Colorful fish danced around her, and she marveled at the coral reefs. 'It's beautiful,' she whispered. Marina showed her the wonders of the sea, each more breathtaking than the last.
6
Marina led Lea to a hidden cave, where they found a chest full of sparkling jewels. 'This was lost many years ago,' Marina explained. 'Now that you've found it with me, it's our secret.' Lea felt like a true explorer, her heart racing with excitement.

As the sun began to set, Marina and Lea made a promise to always be friends and to protect the sea together. Lea looked at the ocean, no longer afraid but filled with love and respect. 'I'll come back to visit,' she said, and Marina nodded, 'I'll be waiting.'

The summer ended too soon, and it was time for Lea to leave. She hugged her grandparents, thanking them for the best summer ever. At the shore, she whispered a goodbye to Marina, hoping to see her again. 'Thank you for everything,' she said, her heart full.

Back home, Lea felt different. She was braver and more confident, not just in the water, but in everything she did. She knew it was all thanks to her summer adventure and her friend, Marina. And she couldn't wait to return to the beach house next summer.
