The Volunteer Day
John and Momma volunteers at the Nursing Home
John and Momma woke up early on a sunny Saturday morning. They put on their volunteer shirts and packed a bag of craft supplies and cupcakes. They were excited to go to the nursing home and spend time with the residents. John Jr. was especially excited to show off his special dance.

When they arrived at the nursing home, John and Momma set up a big table with colorful paper, glue, and scissors. The residents gathered around, eager to make beautiful crafts. Momma led the craft session while John Jr. played games with the residents. Everyone was having so much fun.

After the crafts, John Jr. asked if he could do his special dance. The residents cheered, and Momma turned on some lively music. John Jr. started to dance, twisting and twirling, and the residents clapped and joined in. It was a joyful sight to see everyone dancing together.

As the afternoon rolled in, it was time to bring out the cupcakes. John and Momma had baked them the day before, and they looked delicious. The residents' eyes lit up as they received their sweet treats. Everyone savored the cupcakes and chatted happily.

Before leaving, the residents gathered to thank John and Momma. They expressed how much they enjoyed the crafts, games, dance, and cupcakes. John Jr. felt so happy, and Momma was proud of her little helper. They promised to come back the next week.

The following Saturday, John and Momma returned to the nursing home with more crafts and cupcakes. The residents welcomed them with big smiles and warm hugs. John Jr. couldn't wait to do his Bully Boogie dance again.

As the weeks went by, John and Momma formed special bonds with the residents. They learned about the residents' amazing life stories and shared laughter and joy. John Jr. even had a new best friend, Mr. Jenkins, who loved to hear about John's adventures.
