Jenny's Struggle
Jenny and the Misguided Junkies
In a town, not far or near, lived Jenny, with a heart sincere. Her struggles were both deep and wide, with substance use by her side. Long brown hair, she’d often braid, hiding tears, feeling afraid. But Jenny dreamed of brighter days, seeking light in foggy haze. Her heart filled with hope, as Jenny learned to cope.
1
One day Jenny found a place, filled with kindness, love, and grace. People there, just like her, shared their stories, pain did stir. Music, dance, talents shone, in this space, they weren’t alone. Many in recovery of finding light, in their darkest, toughest fight.
2
Jenny thought, ‘Why not unite? Let our talents take the flight.’ A talent show for us to share, show the world we deeply care. During practice, an idea sparks, igniting hope in all their hearts.
3
Together, they would meet and play, practicing day by day. ‘The Misguided Junkies,’ they were named, through music and dance, they were famed. Peace and unity, finding joy and being free.
4
Jenny searched both high and low, for a place where they could grow. A new home for them to meet, to dance, to sing, to feel the beat. She is on a mission, a quest for space, a loving, accepting, safe embrace.
5
Their practice was more than art, it healed the mind, soul, and heart. Together, strong, they found their way, growing bolder every day. Through recovery and understanding, their bond did thrive, in their music, they felt alive.
6
Jenny made flyers, bright and clear, inviting all far and near. ‘Come see the Junkies,’ it did read, ‘In our music, find the seed.’ News spread fast, spreading the word, ensuring all their voices heard.
7
The day arrived, hearts filled with glee, as they performed for all to see. Singing, dancing, joy abounds, in their talent, love was found. One heck of celebration, a talent show, a standing ovation.
8
People watched and were inspired, by the courage that was required. They asked to join, to be a part, of this group, with so much heart. Still in recovery, a growing band, together, they would take a stand.
9
Jenny dreamed a bigger dream, a tour across the streams. To share their message far and wide, with love and music as their guide. Entertainment, a dream so bold, across America, their story told.
10
The Misguided Junkies packed, ready to go, to spread their light, their love to show. City to city, they played their part, healing souls, sharing heart. Through recovery, a journey starts, through their music, healing hearts.
11
Everywhere they went, they found, love and kindness all around. Their message spread, far and wide, breaking stigma, with pride. Mental health, a world changed, by the Junkies, rearranged.
12
No longer seen with eyes of doubt, their story turned perceptions about. Addiction, mental health, now seen, in a light, more kind and keen. Change, a shift in view, showing what love and music can do.
13
Jenny looked back, filled with joy, at how music could deploy. Love, healing, a new start, brought together by the art. Recovery is not the journey’s end, but in their hearts, it will never bend.
