The Announcement

Jason and the Lego building competition

Jason heard an exciting announcement at school. There was going to be a Lego building competition next week! Jason loved building with Legos more than anything. He decided right then that he would enter the competition.
1
Jason spent the weekend planning his Lego creation. He wanted to build a castle with towers and a drawbridge. He drew a picture of what he wanted it to look like. Jason was determined to make it the best Lego castle ever.
2
Jason opened his big box of Lego pieces. He sorted them by color and size. He made sure he had all the pieces he needed for his castle. Jason felt ready to start building.
3
Jason started building the base of his castle. He carefully placed each brick, making sure they were all straight. He built the walls high and strong. Jason was proud of how it was turning out.
4
Now it was time to add the towers and the drawbridge. Jason used special pieces to make the towers tall and pointy. He made a working drawbridge that could go up and down. His castle was looking amazing!
5
Jason added flags to the top of the towers. He built little Lego people to stand guard. He even made a tiny garden with flowers. Jason's castle was complete, and it was perfect.
6
On the day of the competition, Jason carefully carried his castle to school. He saw many other amazing Lego creations. Jason felt a little nervous, but he knew he had done his best. He set his castle on the table and waited for the judges.
7
The judges walked around and looked at all the Lego creations. When they got to Jason's castle, they smiled and nodded. Finally, they announced the winner: it was Jason! Jason was so happy and proud. He had built the best Lego castle and won the competition.
