Bailey and the Croupy Cough

One sunny morning, Bailey was playing with her fluffy friend Max in the garden. Suddenly, Bailey started to cough. Her mom, hearing the cough, came over quickly. "Oh dear," said Bailey's Mom, "I think you might be getting sick." Bailey nodded, feeling a bit tired.

Bailey's Mom decided to take her to see Dr. Lex. At the clinic, Dr. Lex listened carefully to Bailey's breathing. "It sounds like croup," Dr. Lex said kindly. "Don't worry, Bailey. We'll make sure you feel better soon." Bailey felt comforted by Dr. Lex's warm smile.

Dr. Lex gave Bailey some medicine and advice. "Rest is very important," she said. "And drink warm liquids to soothe your throat." Bailey's Mom made her favorite soup and read her stories. Max stayed by her side, wagging his tail.

After a few days, Bailey began to feel much better. Her cough had almost gone away. "Thank you, Mom and Max," Bailey said with a smile. She was ready to play in the garden again. Bailey learned the importance of rest and care when feeling sick.
