A Sunny Morning

Avery and Nana’s Garden Adventure

Avery woke up to the sound of birds chirping. It was a sunny morning, perfect for an adventure. Nana had promised her they would start a garden today. Avery was excited and quickly got dressed. She ran downstairs to find Nana waiting with a big smile.

Nana and Avery gathered all the supplies they needed. They had seeds, a watering can, and a small shovel. Avery loved the colorful packets of seeds. "What do we plant first, Nana?" Avery asked eagerly. "Let's start with some sunflowers," Nana replied.
2
They went to the backyard and picked a sunny spot. Nana showed Avery how to dig the soil gently. Avery giggled as she got her hands dirty. "The soil feels soft and warm," she said. Nana nodded, "That's because the sun has been shining on it."
3
Avery carefully placed the sunflower seeds in the holes they dug. Nana explained the seeds needed to be covered with soil to stay safe. Avery patted the soil gently over the seeds. "Will they grow soon?" Avery asked curiously. "With some patience and care, they will," Nana assured her.

Next, it was time to water the seeds. Avery filled the watering can with water. She sprinkled water over the soil, making sure not to drown the seeds. "Water helps the seeds wake up and start growing," Nana explained. Avery nodded, feeling proud of her work.
5
The days passed, and Avery checked the garden every morning. She was eager to see the first sprouts. Nana taught her that plants need sunlight and air too. Avery watched as tiny green shoots appeared one day. "Look, Nana! They're growing!" she shouted with joy.
6
Avery and Nana continued to care for the garden. They removed weeds and made sure the plants had enough water. Avery learned how important it was to take care of living things. She felt happy knowing she was helping the garden grow. Nana was proud of Avery's dedication.

Finally, the garden was filled with tall sunflowers and other colorful flowers. Avery and Nana admired their hard work. "We did it, Nana!" Avery exclaimed. "Yes, we did, and it looks beautiful," Nana replied. Avery learned that with patience and care, wonderful things can grow.
